The 2019 NCBC Annual Conference in Chicago was a pleasure to attend. Being selected to receive a scholarship afforded me the opportunity to attend the conference in person, and to be able to walk across the stage to receive my certificate of completion in the Judicial Administration Program from Michigan State University.
The conference started with a bang. On Monday, I participated in a full day of classes for the LEAD Program. I met a ton of awesome people, all with the common goal of continuing to grow and advance our careers within the Court. The instructors were top-notch and shared their experience and expertise with us, helping to reaffirm my decision to take part in the program.
Additionally, I participated in several classes throughout the conference that reignited my desire to improve my skills, not just as an employee but as an individual too. Instructor Richard Marshall, Senior Education Specialist with the Federal Judicial Center, lead two of the classes I attended and was very insightful.
The 2019 NCBC was a complete success and I look forward to hosting the 2020 NCBC in California Central!
