Attending the NCBC 2019 Chicago conference was an immensely valuable experience. The conference provided me the opportunity to enhance my skills with informative breakout sessions while networking with clerks from bankruptcy courts across the country. The plenary speakers were both engaging and entertaining and, as always, a highlight of the conference. This year, however, the bigger highlight for me was the last day of the conference, when my fellow MSU graduates and I took part in the final NCBC MSU Graduation Ceremony. It was rewarding to celebrate our achievements and acknowledge our dedication culminating our 5-year program. Through the MSU program, I was able gain valuable education and exposure to various aspects of the judicial system and court management. Overall, it was an exciting event-filled week that included a variety of educational and networking opportunities as well as a chance for me to explore many of the amazing sights and iconic food that Chicago is known for. I am grateful for the continued support of my court leaders and the NCBC scholarship program that allowed me to attend this year’s conference and invest in my future and challenge myself in developing myself for a rewarding and successful career.
