Meredith Klassen is a Team Leader in the Northern Division (Santa Barbara) of the Central District of California. She began her career with the court 23 years ago. She is currently a member of the Central District of California’s Pro Se Resources Committee, the Outreach Committee, Forms Task Force, the CM/ECF Committee, and the Next-Gen Committee. She is also a member of the National Pro Se Pathfinder (eSR) Committee. Most recently, she was California Central’s project lead for the AO Bankruptcy Noticing Working Group (BNWG) pilot program called Debtor Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (DeBN). She joined the NCBC in 2010 and served as a Mentor in the 2013 NCBC Mentorship Program. She is also a new member of the NCBC Outreach Committee.
Shawna Belcher has worked as a Bankruptcy Case Administrator for the District of Kansas since 2007 and has been an active member of NCBC since 2012. Through her court's volunteer program, she is a speaker for the non-profit, C.A.R.E., which educates high school students to lead productive financial futures. She was a recipient of the Outstanding Public Service Award at the 2014 NCBC conference for her involvement with the program. When she isn't professionally serving the public, Shawna enjoys walking her dog, Comet, and planning for her upcoming wedding in May.
Dailin Pena has served as the Training Specialist for Florida Bankruptcy Court since 2009 and holds a Masters of Science in Education. Over the years she has assisted FJC as faculty for various programs. She recently graduated from the FCLP program and plans to complete MSU's Judicial Administration Program this year. She has been a member of NCBC since 2010. This is her second year as part of the Editorial Committee for the IMPACT Newsletter.
Monica Yepes began her career with the Central District of California in 2010. She is currently working at the Riverside Division as an Operations Support Clerk/Case Administrator. She has been an NCBC active member since 2011 and also a student of the Judicial Administration Program with Michigan State University since 2012. She is now beginning her term as an NCBC Local Representative for the Central District of California. She is currently a member of her court’s Centers of Excellence Program which is an employee advisory council that provides a forum for collaboration on the Court’s multiple projects that are keeping within the Court’s strategic plan. She is also an active contributor to her court’s monthly newsletter “Full Court Press.”
